As we have now been established as an independent organisation for just over one year, we are at the stage that we really want to enhance our relationships with key stakeholders and continue to build our presence across South Australia. We recognise that with a state wide focus we need to ensure our presence within regional areas. We want to be able to travel to regional centres to support our allies from both the LGBTI+ community and the mainstream community to ensure that older rainbow people are visible and connected. We recognise that as RHSA is based in Adelaide it is incumbent on us to actively pursue opportunities to engage with regional centres in a planned and strategic manner.
We also plan to hold an intergenerational lunch as part of SA’s Feast Festival in November and financial support would allow us to engage younger people needing financial support to be able to attend and participate in the event. This is the second year we’ve been involved in this wonderful event. As a small fledgling organisation all contributions will make a significant difference to our ongoing work.

Through GiveOUT Day last year…
In 2024 we sought contributions towards the Rainbow Hub SA’s establishment and ongoing promotional costs so we could be a strong voice for LGBTI+ people aged 50+ in South Australia. Building on our proud history of achievements, before becoming independent on 1 July this year, we want to reach more of the 77,000+ older LGBTI+ people in South Australia.
Those donations made a significant difference and enabled us to create our new organisation and seek sustainable resourcing to meet our ambitious aims to:

• Build – friendships, capacity & community
• Celebrate – our diversity, stories & solidarity
• Collaborate – across organisations & generations & with allies
• Connect – through information & activities.
