We were delighted to be invited to join SA Rainbow Advocacy Alliance for a powerful evening of storytelling, awareness, and advocacy to commemorate IDAHOBIT 2025 with a special screening of Of An Age (2022). This poignant Australian film is a queer coming-of-age that explores themes of identity, love, and self-discovery in 1990s suburban Melbourne.
After a rousing Welcome to Country from Adam Troy Francis, a panel including Pat Pearson from Rainbow Hub SA and Chrissie Treloar from Trans Justice Project and SARAA CEO Varo spoke with MC and SARAA Chair Lucy Solonsch about the challenges and progress towards ending LGBTIQA+ discrimination. Stories and other insights into the lived experiences of LGBTIQA+ individuals were shared along with practical ways we can all contribute to a more inclusive future.
